Brandon was born in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex where he lived until relocating to Charlottesville, VA in 2004. After 4 years in Charlottesville, he and his wife traveled throughout the west coast in search for a place to live and raise a family. They decided to settle in Ashland, OR in 2009 shortly before the birth of their son.

Always fascinated by various visual media, he began drawing and illustrating on the computer at the age of 14. He attended the Art Institute of Dallas for computer animation. He eventually discovered the market for computer animators was over-saturated and decided, instead, to continue working in Information Technologies. At the age of 22, he picked up his first camera to augment his personal hobby of digital illustration, and his love for photography quickly out grew his interests in illustration. After a few years, he was convinced by friends and family to move his passion into a career and began shooting semi-professionally in Dallas, primarily in event photography. As he branched out into commercial and architectural photography, he left his day job behind and worked professionally full-time.
